Fist of all, I must state that I LOVE Alan Rickman's performance in the Harry Potter Saga. His greatness made me like Severus Snape even more. 
But I couldn't help myself thinking about, what if there would be a re-cast now. Who would I choose for the part of Professor Snape if they'd cast Harry Potter now? Well, my first - and only - choice was Richard Armitage.
And why? I think the reason is pretty obvious. He is an amazing actor, he had played dark(ish) and dramatic roles before and I would LOVE to see how he would portray my favourite character from Harry Potter (knowing the fact, that the Prof's also a dark(ish) and dramatic character).
And with that, I think I have said enough.

Armitage also had the right age to play Severus. I adore Alan Rickman, but I can't help imagine Snape looking like Armitage
